Bolam

The Moloch graphical outputs are daily available as the result of a cooperation between the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate in Bologna (ISAC-CNR), and the Meteo-Hydrological Functional Centre of Civil Protection of the Liguria Region (ARPAL-CFMI-PC).

Model runs are daily available to the public since January 2007, as part of the numerical model chain based on Bolam, operational at ARPAL-CFMI-PC since September 1999.

• non-hydrostatic;
• initial and boundary conditions: nested (every 60 minutes) in the Bolam 6.5 km run;
• duration: 36 hours (from 12 to 48 UTC);
• grid: rotated horizontal Arakawa C-grid; 200´196 grid points at the resolution of 0.02 degrees; 50 vertical levels;
• deep moist convection: treated explicitly;
